Red5 is an open source Flash server its an alternate of Flash Communication server. RED5 written in Java and designed from the ground up for serving Flash content. That includes streaming videos for would-be YouTubes and streaming audio for would-be Odeos, but also "push" support for things like real-time multiplayer gaming, multi-user video chat, live streaming, and client stream recording. Red5 is built on Java and the current version is 0.7 Red5 streams audio, video and data to and from the flash plugin live and on demand so there is no need to wait for the progressive video to load, as you can experience the freedom of on demand streaming.
